On Thursday December 10, 2009 shortly after 12:00AM, West Union police responded to a citizens call of a subject stumbling and falling in the snow.  When police arrived at the scene, David W. Lauer, 49, of West Union was found lying in a snow bank in the 100 Block of East Plum St.   Lauer was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for public intoxication.   Lauer was taken to the Fayette County Law Enforcement center where he was held for court.
